SkyManager was created with the ability to integrate with QuickBooks™.

For help in setting up the QuickBooks™ web connector and understanding how SkyManager works with Quickbooks™, please submit a ticket to Support to request a QuickBooks configuration meeting. Please plan on spending between 60 and 90 minutes for this meeting. This is best done at least one week after your familiarize yourself with your new SkyManager site.  

Requirements

The following requirements must be met BEFORE your SkyManager site can be configured to integrate with QuickBooks™.

  1. QuickBooks must be installed locally; SkyManager does not integrate with the online version. 
  2. You must have all your customers and items set up first in QuickBooks. Be sure the charges are noted the way that SkyManager will use them; for example, if all flight instruction charges are $45, then each instructor must have a $45 dollar charge made for their name. You cannot assign a single $45 dollar charge to everyone. 
  3. The scheduled configuration meeting must be done using the computer on which QuickBooks is installed, and it must have an internet connection. If you don't have The QuickBooks Web Connector (located under File > Update Web Services), download the free “QuickBooks Web Connector” from http://marketplace.intuit.com/webconnector/.
  4. Sometimes we will need temporary permission from your network administrator to remote in and help you set up. Please ask your IT employee or provider if your network firewall will block TeamViewer, our screen-sharing application, which you will need to download and run at the start of our call from http://teamviewer.com.

Synchronizing

Once your site is integrated with QuickBooks, you can configure it by clicking on the QuickBooks link under System Configuration.

Invoices remain editable until synced to QuickBooks; once synchronized to QuickBooks, you will need to edit the invoice in QuickBooks rather than in SkyManager. 

Keep in mind there may be a delay between your updates in QuickBooks and what you see in your SkyManager site's Invoices. If you don't see updates within 24 hours, contact support.
