SkyManager can be set up to accept electronic payments via PayPal. Once your site is set up to do so, any member of your site can submit a payment in your SkyManager site through their personal PayPal account or by paying with a credit card through Paypal's site.

This feature is available only in SkyManager - if you are a SkyScheduler administrator and are interested in upgrading to SkyManager in order to access this or other SkyManager features, please email support@skymanager.com.

Setting Up the PayPal Integration

Administrators will follow the steps below to integrate your site with Paypal.

  1. First, create a new charge type under Financial Tools called "PayPal" and mark it as chargeable with an amount of "-1.000".
  2. Next, in a web browser, navigate to the PayPal Setup page of your site by entering your SkyManager site's URL and adding "/paypal/setup" to the end of it (e.g., abcflights.skymanager.com/paypal/setup).
  3. Select your new "PayPal" charge type from the Deposit Category drop-down and click Continue.
  4. Log into PayPal with the credentials for your existing PayPal account (if you don't have one, click the "Sign up" link).
  5. Click the Grant Permission button.

Making a Payment via PayPal

Once your SkyManager site is set up to allow PayPal payments, pilots will follow the below steps to make a deposit to their accounts.

  1. Navigate to your account statement in SkyManager.
  2. Click on the PayPal Deposit button on the left side of the screen (or click "Go" in the Account Balance section of the main page and select Paypal as the charge type).
  3. Enter the amount you'd like to deposit and click Next
  4. Log into your personal PayPal account and authorize the payment, or click Pay with Debit or Credit Card to submit a credit card payment.

Removing the PayPal Integration

If for any reason you need to disable PayPal payments for a time, you can do so simply by deleting the PayPal charge type you created in the first step under Setting Up the PayPal Integration above. When you are ready to re-enable it, just repeat steps 1-5 in that section.
