Yes, there is a feature that alerts your volunteers when signing up for two events that overlap. Administrators can choose whether the system will simply warn volunteers of the schedule conflict or if the system will prevent schedule conflicts altogether. Navigate to Settings > Site Settings to respond to the Allow Volunteers to Register for Concurrent Events setting.
